Liveshows:

Last weekend we played an unforgettable show at the Winston Kingdom in Amsterdam!
We haven't played a liveshow for a while because we're busy recording a full length album in our studio so the music was really intense that night, it felt so good to be on stage again with our own equipment, we played our hearts out.
We'd like to thank everybody who came out to see us play, thank you so much, thanks for all the great response we got from you!

Next Saturay we're doing a show at the Fascinus in Sassenheim for IFAW,.. For some reason you can always find us playing for a good cause, it's always good to help out, and if we can do that by playing a liveshow, why not?
The cover for this show is only 5 euro's and is going to IFAW.
So we'd like to see all of you out there in Sassenheim next week!

Asta Benefit for Monica:

On tuesday February 19th we'll play a few songs at the Asta in our hometown The Hague.

Just an update...

We just wanted to let you know what we've been upto, we visited our friends Rachel and Gina at 2Babes and we've got a lot of response from that, can't believe how many people watch that show in the middle of the night! :)
We played a really cool show at the LVC in Leiden and we would like to thank everybody who came out to see us play, thank you so much for the support!!
The pictures of this show are now online on the mediapage!!!

We've decided that it's time for us to start recording all the songs and ideas we have so we can start working on a full lenght album.
It's going to be a lot of work but we love doing it, hopefully we have some more news about the recording process really soon.
There will be some more liveshows coming up as well but you'll have to come back and visit this website for updates!!!
So we're off to the studio, see you guys soon!

Paradiso

Last night we played a show at the Paradiso in Amsterdam for the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands.
Paradiso is one of the coolest venues to play in Holland and we really enjoyed our time on stage.
We didn't make it to the European finales but you can now vote everyday for us on the Bodog website for a wildcard to send us to Copenhagen.
We'd like to thank all of of you who came out to Paradiso last night!!!!

We decided to support the serious request!
To support 3FM dj's Gerard Ekdom, Michiel Veenstra en Rob Stenders we will also not eat for the 6 days that they have to spent in a glass house without food.
They are doing this to raise money for the red cross to do something about the drinkingwater problem in third world countries.
Each minute more than seven people die because of this problem!!!
We will also auction of a liveshow that we will play in the livingroom of the highest bidder and we're also composing a song the serious request.
All the money we collect will be donated to the red cross!!!

MAROEN @ 3FM & Nederland 3:

Tonight we'll be a guest in Hilversum at the 3FM studio again, this time in Paul Rabbering his radioshow from 04.00 till 07.00 in the morning!!!
We will play some songs live and do some interviews.
The show will be broadcasted live on radio 3FM and live on television "Nederland 3"

The last few days.. 3FM, Oss, Tattoo's and the Bodog Audition:

On Sunday we first played a full show in Oss at the Music Boulevard indoor festival.
It was a good show and the response we got felt really good!!!
They invited us back for the outdoor festival wich will be held on may 18th 2008.
After this show we packed up our entire backline (amps, guitars, drums etc..) and drove to Hilversum to go to the 3FM studio.
When we arrived there we met DJ Miranda van Holland who does a show called XNoizz, she plays a lot of cool bands on the radio!!
After we set up our gear, we got the assignment:
Write a song within one hour, the subject is "Irish girl"
So we did, we jammed and made up a songstructure, then Maroen wrote some lyrics about an Irish girl (which is really hard because he doesn't know any Irish girls) and when our time was up we played the song live on the air.
After that we got to play one of our own songs, and we played a brand new song that we wrote just a week ago called "Here we are"

Then on Wednesday we went to wham bam Amsterdam to play in the audition rounds for the Bodog Music Battle of the Bands.
We arrived in Amsterdam in the mornig to visit our friends at Hanky Panky Tattoo's and Mitch and Orhan got some new tattoo's done!!
Right in the middle of the tattooing session around 15.00 we had to go to the Winston Kingdom club to register for the audition with Mitch his tattoo half finished.
Our slot to audition was at 21.30 so we had enough time to go back to Hanky Panky and finish the tattoo.
When we got back at the Winston Kingdom we played our hearts out on stage and that payed off because we past the audition and are now selected for the next round at the Melkweg in Amsterdam on November 16th!!!
We have to sell some tickets for this show and we really need your support!!!
We like to thank everybody who was there at the show last night to support us!!! You are amazing!!!!

MAROEN @ 3FM:

On sunday September 23th we'll be in Hilversum in the 3FM studio with Dj Miranda van Holland in her live radio broadcast that's called "1 Uurs Service"
Listeners can sms (textmessage) a subject to 3333 and we have to pic one of the subjects and compose a song about it on the spot!!
At the end of the show we have to play the song live on the radio and we'll also play one of our own songs.
Miranda will also do an interview with us and talk about the band.
The show will be boadcasted live from 23.00 till 01.00 on Sunday.

Last night around 02.30 Maroen got a call from Sander Guis who has his own show at Radio 3FM.
The listeners of the show can call in to say if they like the song that's being played.
Sander played our song "Broken" and the listeners voted positive so Sander will now play the song again next week!

Last weekend we played a show at Mosselrock in Yerseke.
We borrowed drummer Rudi Sibma from the band Van Velzen and played a full show.

It can't all be good news...

Today we got an email from our drummer Kit that he can no longer combine this band with his other bands and projects.
We had a great time playing with Kit, we did some cool liveshows and had a lot of fun with him.
We wish him all the best with his other bands.
We are now looking for a new drummer to replace him.

Schollenpop 2007

On saturday we played a show at the Schollenpop Festival on the beach excactly one year after our debute show at this very same place. It was a perfect beach day and it was very crowded.
We played a good show on the locals stage and we enjoyed watching the other bands: Krezip, Seven, R.A.T, Moke, Good Things End, All Missing Pieces, Heideroosjes and more.

3FM indecent proposal - Day Four - Diary:

On thursday we had our last day at Rob Stenders radioshow Stenders eetsvermaak at 3FM.
The last Indecent Proposal was to go to the Efteling (an amusement park) and sing the song "Rollercoaster' by the Suburbs in the Pyton (a Rollercoaster).
So we drove from Hilversum to Kaatsheuvel where the Efteling is located. When we arrived we explained to the people at the Efteling that we we're a band and that we had to do this Indecent Proposal for radio 3FM.
They gave us VIP treatment! they drove us through the Efteling in two golf carts to the Pyton.
Orhan taped the camera to his hand and Maroen tapped the phone to his ear and of we we're, screaming and yelling the song Rollercoaster in a real rollercoaster!!!
And again we accomplished the mission!!!.
This was our last Indecent Propasal for 3FM and we would like to thank Rob Stenders, Michiel Veenstra and Jelger for a week we will never forget!!!
In the evening we did a liveshow at a club called FelixII in Hilversum.
That was a great show to play, the vibe was really good and the crowd was really kind to us, thank you FelixII for letting us play your club on such a short notice!!! All the movies of the 3FM Indecent Proposals will be on our you tube channel as soon as we get our hands on them!.

3FM indecent proposal - Day Three - Diary:

Today was probably the most extreme Indecent Proposal they ever did on 3FM!!!
This was the third day in Rob Stenders eetvermaak radioshow and today Michiel Veenstra gave us this assignment:
Get the 3FM logo tattooed on your body!!!!
For each band member that got the logo tattooed we would got more airplay on 3FM.
So we we did, we drove to Amsterdam and found the tattoo shop (Hanky Panky) in the red light district.
Maroen was the first to get tattooed and got it on his ribcage under his arm.
This spot hurts a lot!!! but hey,.. everything for the band!
Next up was Mitch and he got the 3FM logo tattooed on his arm.
Orhan didn't get the logo tattooed but because he was in the tattoo shop anyway, he got two black roses tattooed on his shoulders.
Then to our surprise, Jerry who works at the tattoo shop said that he would also get the 3FM tattoo if it would get us more airplay!!!
He told Maroen; just take a marker and write 3FM on my leg and I'll get that tattooed.
Thank you so much Jerry & everybody at Hanky Panky in Amsterdam for the support today! we will never forget it!!!
After we got all our tattoo's we drove back to Hilversum because we had to play a show there, we we're really tired but we played an unplugged show at the Guardian.
Tomorrow is the last day at 3FM between 12.00 and 14.00 and after that we'll play a liveshow in Hilversum at the FelixII around 22.00.

3FM indecent proposal - Day Two - Diary:

Another day at the 3FM studio's in Hilversum for Rob Stenders radioshow "Stenders eetvermaak" Indecent Proposal.
DJ Rob Stenders went on a well deserved vacation today (Probably because we drove him crazy yesterday!) so today Michiel Veenstra did the show for him and gave us the following mission:
Find a Skelter and go to a really crowded area and sing the Beatles song "Helter Skelter"
As soon as he told us the mission we we're of to find a skelter, it sounds a lot easier than it actually is.. we drove to a few shops didn't find any skelters.. and the shops that had a skelter wouldn't let us borrow it...
With almost no time left on the clock we found one (with a flat tire..) in a crowded shopping mall, so that was perfect! We called the studio and did the song "Helter Skelter" with Orhan holding the phone, Mitch playing the guitar and Maroen singing the song. When we we're done Michiel Veenstra said; Mission accomplished!!!

Tomorrow is another day at the 3FM, so another assignment for us between 12.00 and 14.00.

3FM indecent proposal - Day One - Diary:

Today was the first day of our adventure at 3FM.
We arrived at the studio of 3FM around 12.00 and we met with the radio dj's Rob Stenders and Jelmer Gussinklo and we received our first assignment to win airplay at 3FM.
The assignment was: Go to a big clothing store in the center of Amsterdam and put on some pink underwear and act as a real life manikin.
So we did, we took of from Hilversum and drove to the Kalverstraat in Amsterdam, we ran to the woman's lingerie department and found us some pink underwear.
We changed into the lingerie and walked around in the store, asking people if they wanted us to model clothes for them, we also posed in the store window and there was a huge crowd in the Kalverstraat taking pictures of us.
The store manager wasn't really amused and called the police.
So as soon as we got the call that we passed our assignment for this day we changed back into our own clothes and ran out of the store before the police arrived..
We can't wait to see what our assignment for tomorrow will be.

We just came home from Hilversum where we played in Simone Wijnands radioshow at 100%NL.
We did an interview and we played 2 unplugged versions of our songs "Just Died" and "Changes"

The show last night at the Speakers in Delft was really cool!

What a weekend!:

We wouldn't want to have it any other way!
We did a show on friday at Pakhuis Wilhelmina in Amsterdam and on saturday we played at the Seuterrock festival
We really want to thank everybody for coming out to our shows even in this rain!!!

On sunday we went to watch some bands at Parkpop and again it was raining.. But it didn't take anything away from this weekend filled with playing shows and watching other bands.
The only thing that would make it better was if we played at Parkpop,.. so Parkpop, book us next year!!!

Our next liveshow is on thursday at the Speakers in Delft!

Wham Bam Amsterdam!!!!:

The show in Amsterdam last night was great, we played a full show at the Pakhuis Wilhelmina, we had a good sound on stage and in the crowd and the lightshow was really amazing!
The songs came out really good in this setting, thanks to everybody who came out through the rain!!!!,


Today we play the Seuterrock festival in 's-Gravendeel, we'll be on stage around 16.30 It would be really cool if you wear white clothing to this show so we can spot you from the stage.

Live at the Dormibella..

On saturday we played a show at the Dormibella in Leidschendam, this show was the finale to play at the Vlietpopfestival.
It was a really cool show to play and we had a lot of fun doing it.
The band Anatar (Gothic) won the finales, the other two bands we're Pitch Blond (a really cool rock trio) and F (a mixture of rap, funk and rock).
Thanks to everybody for coming to the show!
We'll post some pictures of the Vospop and the Dormibella as soon as we get our hands on them.
The next confirmed liveshow wil be in Amsterdam at Pakhuis Wilhelmina.
Now we're of rehearsing with our new bassplayer Orhan!!

Vospop..

Yesterday we drove 200 miles to Belgium to play at the Vospop Festival.
It was our first liveshow in Belgium and the response was great!!!

We finally found our bassplayer!!!

After a long search, auditions and playing all the live shows with different bassplayers we finally found our guy!!!
His name is Orhan Smits and he's a student at the Pop Acedemy in Rotterdam.
Orhan will play with us on our upcoming live show in Belgium (Vospop, Friady may 18th).
On Saturday (May 19th) we'll play a show at the Dormibella in Ledschendam with John Aponno.
We'd like to thank all the bassplayers who did the liveshows with us up till now, so... John Aponno, Robert Pronk, Rudi Sibma and Carlos Lake... Thank You!!!!

What a great weekend we had, 3 shows in 3 days
The show on thursday at the Zwarte Ruiter was amazing,
On Saturday the first show we played was at 05.45 in the morning for the bandmarathon (80 bands in 24 hours) and for KiKa (Children CancerFree).
We thought that there wouldn't be many people there at this hour, but we we're wrong.. the place was packed! We played our songs and the crowd was really cool!

Saturday night we played the semi-finales to play at the Vlietpop festival.
This was also a really fun show to play and.... WE WON!!!!
So now we have to play the finales with 3 other cool bands.
This will also be held at the Dormibella on may 19th which is the day after we play the Vospop Festival in Belgium.

Bandmarathon & Kika

On Saturday April 21st we'll play 2 shows,
The fisrt show will be at 05.45 in the morning!!!!
(Yes, in the morning!!!)
This is for the BandMarathon at the Bazart.
The plan is to set a record, 80 Bands in 24 hours!!!
But the main reason is that it's for a very good cause:
Kika (Kika is a foundation to help kids with cancer get cancerfree) So for the die hards, come to to the Bazart and support KiKa and all the bands that are playing in the Marathon!!

The other show we play on April 21st is in the evening at the Dormibella in Leidschendam. This is a battle of the bands to get a chance to play at the Vlietpop Festival later this year.
So we need your support at this show!!!

Show must go on...

We played a show at the Paap in our hometown on Tuesday together with the young rockband "All Missing Pieces".

When we arrived at the venue there was a bomb threat and we were delayed because we couldn't go into the street where the venue was located.
When the street finally cleared we started unloading and setting up the stage, leaving almost no time for soundcheck.
We had many technical difficulties and where only allowed to play at a certain volume.... Good luck with our drummer!!!
But hey, show must go on right? So first "All Missing Pieces" played a very lively show.

We were the second and last band of the evening and played for about an hour.
We kind off broke the rules and played a little louder then we were allowed to with our drummer having the tradition of breaking at least 5 drumsticks during shows and rehearsals but it was okay.
It feels good to finaly get this band out on the road and play as many shows as we can get our hands on,
It was good to see some familiar faces in the crowd and we like to thank everybody for coming out to see our liveshows
We can't wait to get on stage again and again!!! The next confirmed show is on April 19th at de Zwarte Ruiter, We'd love to see you there!!!

The CD release party was fun, it was the first show we played in months and it felt good to be on stage again since Herfstpop.
We've really grown as a band and we can only go forward from here.
